Edenbridge Events Calendar

Edenbridge Tennis Club hosts a variety of events throughout the year for members to connect, compete, and celebrate the season.

Participation in teams, house leagues, singles ladders, and round robins is free and included with your membership. There is a nominal fee to participate in each year end tournament.

Events may be added, changed, or cancelled without notice.

Annual General Meeting

Date: January 26, 2026 — 6:30 PM to 7:30 PM
This virtual meeting is open to all members. Use the link provided in the Newsletter to attend.
Topics include:
• Court construction updates
• Financial statement review
• Election of new board members
• Member Q&A


Opening Day Event

Date: May 2026 — 12:30 PM to 3:00 PM
Join us for the Opening Day Round Robin Social, featuring light refreshments and great company.
Meet members of the Board and Club Pros, who will be available to answer any questions about the club and its programs.


InterCounty Teams

Date: May – August
If you are interested in playing on a team, please complete the tryouts form sent in the February/March newsletter. A club pro will run drills and observe match play to determine team placement.

Mixed B and Mixed C Teams
League play occurs on:
• Tuesdays (Mixed B Team)
• Thursdays (Mixed C Team)
Each evening includes 3 early matches beginning at 7:00 PM and 3 later matches beginning after 8:00 PM once early matches finish.

Ladies B and Ladies C Teams — Daytime League
• Ladies B Team plays 4 matches on Wednesday mornings.
• Ladies C Team plays 3 matches on Tuesday mornings.
Matches begin at 9:30 AM or 10:00 AM, with Ladies B having one additional later match at 11:00 AM.


House Leagues

Date: May – October
Edenbridge TC offers two mixed doubles house leagues for friendly, social competition throughout the season.

• House League (level 3.0 and under): Sundays from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM
• Advanced House League (level 3.5+): Sundays from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM
– Early matches: 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM
– Later matches: 7:30 PM to 9:00 PM

Players are assigned to a team and scheduled to play against other members.

To join, complete the form sent in the February/March newsletter, or contact the House League or Advanced House League manager to be added to the Team Reach schedule.


Singles Ladders

Edenbridge TC members may join the Men’s or Women’s Singles Ladder.
Players challenge another member who is one or two positions above them; if the challenger wins, they move up the ladder.
Sign-up is available through PlayerCoach.pro under the Ladders section.

Round Robins

Round Robin drop-in play is available for all levels.
To participate, log in to PlayerCoach.pro each week and add your name under Court Booking to the reserved Round Robin courts.


National Bank Open (NBO)

Date: July / August
Members can purchase group tickets at a discounted rate to watch professional matches at the National Bank Open at Sobeys Stadium (York University).
We purchase blocks of seats so members, friends, and families can sit together.
Additional discount codes for other match dates will be shared closer to the event.


Year-End Tournaments

Date: September
Celebrate the season with Men’s and Women’s Singles events and various Doubles Tournaments.
Refreshments and a light lunch are provided.
A nominal $10 fee applies to each event.
Register using the form in the newsletter.
Tournaments run based on registration numbers, and winners receive prizes, medals, and bragging rights.


Events Calendar FAQs

How can I sign up to attend the Opening Day event?

To attend the Opening Day Round Robin Social, please complete the RSVP form sent out in the April newsletter. Light refreshments are served, and club pros and board members are available to answer questions about the club and its programs.

Do I need a partner to sign up for the Year-End Mixed Doubles tournament?

You can sign up with a partner by adding their name when you complete the tournament sign-up form in the newsletter. If you do not have a partner, the tournament organizers will create doubles teams for players who register individually.

What level of play are the round robins?

Round robins are social tennis events open to players of all levels.
